Smilelign is a clear brace system that uses innovative technology to create the smile you have always dreamed of. Traditionally, metal brackets and unsightly wires were the only option for straightening teeth. By contrast, Smilelign clear braces are nearly invisible, allowing you to straighten your teeth virtually without anyone knowing!

Choosing removable over a traditional brace means that straightening your teeth needn't impact your lifestyle. Cleaning, flossing and eating are much easier with removable aligners. Your brace fits with you.

Smilelign consists of a series of clear braces, or removable“aligners” that are changed every 2-3 weeks. Each aligner is carefully designed using 3D technology on moulds of your teeth. Being custom made they impart light pressure on the teeth moving them little by little, week by week until the desired result is achieved. As the forces involved are low, the discomfort when using the next aligner in the series is minimal.

Treatment can take as little as 12 weeks depending on the complexity.

As with all short-term or anterior orthodontic systems, Smilelign should not be compared to conventional orthodontics. It is not suitable for large tooth movements or correcting severe malocclusions.

To determine whether your teeth would be suitable for treatment with Smilelign, you would require an assessment appoint  with one of our general practitioners with training in the system, for which there is a £50 charge.

If you decide to proceed with Smilelign (or one of our other short-term orthodontic options) this charge is refunded on the completion of your course of treatment.

As each course of treatment is individually tailored to each patient, and the length of time each course takes is different, the cost of short-term orthodontics varies from person to person. As a guide, the average cost is from £1700 to £3500.
