Every innovative feature of the Invisalign system is designed to reveal the smile you deserve. Millions of people worldwide have now had their smiles transformed by Invisalign, removeable and near-invisable aligners.

Key features of Invisalign treatment are:

  • Invisalign can be used to treat a relatively wide range of teeth straightening issues.
  • Invisalign clear aligners are removable so you can continue to do all the things you normally do such as flossing, brushing, eating whatever you like and sports.
  • As the name suggests, the aligners are very discrete so friends and family will hardly notice you are wearing them.
  • State of the art digital planning tools mean you only need short and usually non-invasive appointments with your dentist every 6-8 weeks. They’ll provide you with your next series of aligners so you can change them every 1-2 weeks, wherever you may be.

How does it work?

After your initial assessment, if your teeth are suitable for alignment with Invisalign, moulds are taken of your teeth. Casts are made from the moulds and 3D technology is used to construct a series of clear aligners with progressive differences in shape designed to provide small, accurate, controlled moving forces to your teeth to achieve your required goal. As the pressures involved are relatively small, there is much less discomfort than with conventional brace work.

How long will it take?

The aligners only work whilst they are being worn so should be kept in for a minimum of 22 hours a day (the closer to 24 hours the better). Each aligner in the series is worn for about 2 weeks before progressing to the next. You will need to see your dentist every 6-8 weeks. Each course of treatment is different but the average duration is 9-18 months.

Cost

To determine whether you are suitable for treatment with Invisalign (or one of the other short term orthodontic systems we offer) you will need an initial assessment, which costs £50. This fee is refunded if you proceed with, and complete a course of Invisalign treatment. As each course of treatment is individually tailored to each patient, and the length of time they take is different, the cost of short term orthodontics varies from case to case. As a guide the average cost would be from £1700 to £3500.
